Campaign campaign tracking backlinks, link by link
On Linkuma, a backlink purchasing platform, you can see every link published during your campaign, and a project manager keeps you informed.
Schedule a 30-minute meeting with a project manager
In a nutshell.
Monitoring a backlink campaign involves verifying that every link you’ve ordered is live, then tracking the performance of the pages it links to. At Linkuma, every published link appears in your client dashboard, and you’ll receive a notification. Your dedicated project manager—who remains the same throughout the campaign—regularly checks in with you via email or phone. They track your site’s rankings for your keywords, share the results with you, and provide a written report. This monitoring is part of our campaign management service, which is included—you only pay for the links.
You can see every link that's been posted
Every time a backlink is posted online, it appears in your customer dashboard, and you receive a notification. You don't have to follow up with anyone.
Your positions are being tracked
Your project manager tracks your website's rankings for your keywords and shows you how they're changing. You can see which keywords are helping your site improve and which ones aren't.

The campaign has been adjusted
Based on his observations, he suggests making the following changes: which pages to prioritize, and which sites or anchor text to choose for future links. If you delegate your campaign, you can choose between approving the plan at the outset and then letting them adjust it, or approving it each month.
How do you view your campaign's tracking information?
To measure the impact of a campaign, a single day's ranking is not enough.
1. Check your backlinks one by one
Open the page where your link is located—often an article—and look for it in the text. It should lead to the page specified in the plan, using the agreed-upon clickable text (the anchor). You can also assess the quality of the host site: its Trust Flow, a trust score calculated by Majestic, and its referring domains.
2. Look at the trend rather than the daily figure
Rankings can vary from day to day, sometimes by several positions in just a few days. In the "Performance" report in Search Console, you can view data on a weekly or monthly basis. This smooths out these daily fluctuations and highlights the underlying trend.
3. Don't rely on your own Google search
Typing your keyword into Google only gives you a snapshot specific to your search. Google notes that its search results vary depending on the time, location, device, and each user’s search history. Instead, rely on the average position in Search Console and the data your project manager shows you.
4. Compare with the publication dates
Compare the date of each link with the performance of the page it points to. A page may also rise or fall in rankings for other reasons: changes to your site, more active competitors, or Google updates.
5. Also look at the clicks and the keywords that are ranking
Ranking isn't the whole story. The number of clicks a page receives from Google—that is, its organic traffic—and the number of keywords for which it appears are two other indicators of its visibility.
6. Don't confuse links with referring domains
In your backlink profile, the number of links refers to all the backlinks pointing to your site. Referring domains, on the other hand, are the different sites that link to yours. A single domain can provide multiple links to your site; therefore, the number of referring domains is never higher than the number of links.
If a figure surprises you, ask your project manager about it during the next meeting. He or she is familiar with the publication schedule and can help you figure out what has changed.
The monitoring focuses on your links and your website’s ranking in search engines. Linkuma specializes in link building. It focuses on a single pillar of organic search engine optimization: your website’s popularity, as measured by the links it receives. The technical aspects, structure, and content of your website remain in your hands—or those of the SEO provider working with you.
No specific ranking is guaranteed. Your project manager will show you how your rankings are changing and explain these changes to you.
