In a nutshell.
An LLM mention is when your brand is referenced in a response from an artificial intelligence tool such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, or Perplexity, or in Google’s AI Insights. These tools often draw on pages published on the internet, outside of your own website. With the LLM Mentions service, Linkuma publishes articles featuring your brand—with or without a link—in six languages. Linkuma sells the publication of these articles. A mention by an AI cannot be purchased: it is never guaranteed.
The article addresses a real issue in your market and presents your brand in context. Two formats: with a link to your page, or your brand mentioned without a link.
Fictional example from a website dedicated to sleep: “Memory foam, latex, or pocket springs: How do you choose a mattress?” Throughout the article, Ateliers Rivoli is mentioned among the manufacturers of memory foam mattresses, with a link to the product page.
The article is primarily intended for the reader, who should find useful advice in it.
Writing an article that is useful to readers and publishing it on a website that matches the selected package. The agreed-upon format is followed: a link to your page with the requested anchor text, or an article without a link.
That a given AI mentions your brand in response to a specific question at a specific time. The answers vary depending on the tool and the wording. Google states the following about its two tools: “AI Mode and AI Insights may use different models and techniques. As a result, the set of answers and links they display may vary.”
Linkuma does not make any changes to your website: its pages and technical aspects are the responsibility of your marketing team or an SEO service provider.
In two ways: by reading pages as it responds, or from memory, based on what the model learned during training. Today, some internet users ask them questions they would have typed into a search engine.
Perplexity, or ChatGPT when it performs a search, often displays its sources instead of a list of results. Google describes its AI Mode in the same way: an answer generated “with links to websites that support that answer.”
To be included, a brand should have been featured for a long time on many pages.
In the response, your name may appear on its own, without a link—this is called a mention—and the reader may remember the brand. It may also appear among the sources, with a clickable link to your site. AI systems do not always display their sources. Based on our observations, three criteria often influence the choice of pages: the relevance of the content, the authority of the publishing site, and the recency of the content. AI systems also tend to draw on what other sites say about a brand rather than the brand’s own messaging.
Linkuma selects the publication site. The following six languages are available: French, English, German, Italian, Spanish, and Dutch.
Linkuma also selects the site based on other Trust Flow thresholds and referring domains. All six languages are available.
You choose the site yourself from the catalog, based on the metrics displayed: Trust Flow and referring domains. The article is published in French.
Trust Flow, a metric developed by Majestic, evaluates a website based on the quality of its inbound links. The number of referring domains indicates how many different websites link to it. In all three plans, the anchor text can be your page’s URL, a generic phrase, or custom text. Each plan can be combined with the three configurations listed below and with the six languages, except for the Citation Marketplace plan, which is available in French only.
The setup depends on your business. The profile is optional, and the setup does not affect the price.

Why should you create your business listing? For local searches, an AI looks for real businesses associated with a specific location. Your Google Business Profile brings together your business’s information: name, address, phone number, industry, and service area. The article is linked to this profile. Without a profile, Linkuma presents your brand differently—by its name, industry, service area, and official website.
